I love it in Milwaukee. It’s amazing. The more time I spend here, the more I realize how great a situation it really is.
There’s no place I’d rather be.

Battle of the Ballparks: Miller Park vs. AT&T Park
Click on the link to vote in ESPN’s Battle of the Ballparks poll. Miller Park & AT&T Park are the last stadiums standing.
The one constant through all the years has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past. It reminds us of all that once was good, and what could be again.
--Field of Dreams
I learned a long time ago to stop questioning life. I believe that everything that’s thrown at us we’re able to handle, and there’s a reason for it. I have yet to figure out exactly what the reason for this is, but I don’t question that. I’ve always stood up for what is right. Today is about everybody who’s been wrongly accused, and everybody who’s ever had to stand up for what is actually right. Today isn’t about me, it isn’t just about one player – it’s about all players. It’s about all current players, all future players and everybody who plays the game of baseball.
--Ryan Braun. He did an outstanding job at his press conference today. His complete statement is here.
Say It Ain't So
A spokesman for Braun said in a statement issued to ESPN and The Associated Press that “there are highly unusual circumstances surrounding this case which will support Ryan’s complete innocence.”
This hasn’t been clarified, arbitration is still ongoing, and I’m a firm believer in the presumption of innocence.
It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.
